From the Front Burner – I know some of you are already making preparations for the three day weekend if you are not busy with harvest.So I’ll keep this week’s comments on a more cerebral level.I was running yesterday with a few old friends.We have run together for the past seven years and a couple of us have crossed the 50 year old threshold and deal with the aches and pains that come with age.So we run our daily runs and we watch our times slow from previous years.It is a little frustrating but then we do the same runs week in and week out, expecting different results.Sounds like the definition of insanity.So this week we welcomed with open arms speed work on the track.It is actually more like a weekly torture session.It teaches us to push past our comfort zone, to challenge our notion of what it means to be a 50 year old runner.Do you approach your business the same way?Are you trying something different today than you have done in the past to challenge your comfort zone, to challenge the notion of what it means to be in business today?While enjoying your Labor Day, give it a thought!
